The Southcentral Alaska Subsistence Regional Advisory Council will meet November 6-7, 2017 at the Alaska Islands & Oceans Visitor Center, 95 Sterling Highway, in Homer. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. daily.

Southeast Alaska Subsistence Regional Advisory Council to Meet in Juneau

The Southeast Alaska Subsistence Regional Advisory Council will meet October 31 – November 2, 2017 at the Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall at Central Council Tlingit and Haida building at 320 W. Willoughby Avenue, Juneau. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. daily. 

Rodman Creek zone on Baranof Island in Unit 4 to close to the harvest of mountain goats

SITKA, Alaska - The Sitka District Ranger, under authority delegated by the Federal Subsistence Board, is closing the Rodman Creek zone to the harvest of mountain goats. The closure will be effective at 11:59 p.m., Wednesday October 18, 2017 and continue through the remainder of the 2017 season which ends December 31. The Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) has issued a concurrent closure in the same zone. 

Public Meeting Announced for Temporary Special Action Request WSA17-05 for Unit 12 Remainder Caribou Harvest Limit Increase

A public meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., November 7, 2017, at the Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge Conference Room in Tok to discuss and provide comment on a Temporary Special Action request received by the Federal Subsistence Board (Board). 

Federal subsistence season for moose to close in a portion of Unit 5A

YAKUTAT, Alaska - Yakutat District Ranger Lee Benson, under authority delegated by the Federal Subsistence Board, is closing the 2017 Federal subsistence moose season for that portion of Unit 5A west of the Dangerous River, except the Nunatak Bench, effective Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. (noon). The Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) has also implemented a closure (Emergency Order # 01-14-17) for the state season.

Northwest Arctic Subsistence Regional Advisory Council to Meet in Kotzebue

The Northwest Arctic Subsistence Regional Advisory Council will meet October 25-26, 2017 at the Northwest Arctic Borough Assembly Room in Kotzebue. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. daily.

Seward Peninsula Subsistence Regional Advisory Council to Meet in Nome

The Seward Peninsula Subsistence Regional Advisory Council will meet October 24-25, 2017 at the Mini Convention Center in Nome. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. daily.

Whale Bay zone on Baranof Island in Unit 4 to open to the harvest of mountain goats

SITKA, Alaska – The Sitka District Ranger, under authority delegated by the Federal Subsistence Board, is opening the Whale Bay zone to the harvest of mountain goats. The opening will be effective at 12:01 a.m., Saturday October 7, 2017 and continue through the remainder of the 2017 season which ends December 31 or until the harvest quota is reached.
