Federal Subsistence Board to Hold Work Session in Anchorage, August 2-3, 2023

Correction:  This announcement has been corrected to clarify that the purpose of the Federal Subsistence Board executive session is to develop recommendations to the Secretaries of Interior and Agriculture for appointments to the Regional Advisory Councils.  

The Federal Subsistence Board (Board) will hold a work session August 2-3, 2023, beginning at 9:00 a.m. daily until the Board has completed its work.  The work session will be held in the Gordon Watson Conference Room of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Regional Office in Anchorage, at 1011 E. Tudor Road.

Unit 7 Dall Sheep Federal Drawing Hunt Closed

MOOSE PASS, Alaska – Seward District Ranger Ruth D’Amico, under authority delegated by the Federal Subsistence Board, is closing the Unit 7 Federal subsistence sheep drawing hunt to the harvest of Dall sheep. The closure will be effective for the entire season of August 10 - September 20, 2023.
