Applying for Funding from the Partners for Fisheries Monitoring Program

Through the Partners Program, the Office of Subsistence Management strengthens Alaska Native and rural involvement in Federal subsistence management by providing funding to organizations so they can hire a professional biologist, social scientist, or educator. The program also provides funds for science and culture camps, and paid student internships.

In fall 2022, the Office of Subsistence Management announced a Notice of Funding Opportunity for the next cycle of Partners Program funding. A proposal review panel chose seven successful proposals. Our new and continuing Partners are:

Bristol Bay Native Association
Hoonah Indian Association
Native Village of Eyak
Native Village of Napaimute
Orutsararmiut Native Council
Qawalangin Tribe of Unalaska
Yakutat Tlingit Tribe
Alaska Native Science and Engineering Students visit Orutsararmiut Native Council’s Fish Camp, Bethel, Alaska.
