MULCHATNA CARIBOU SEASONS CLOSED ON FEDERAL PUBLIC LANDS THROUGHOUT RANGE OF THE MULCHATNA CARIBOU HERD

The Togiak National Wildlife Refuge Manager, under authority delegated by the Federal Subsistence Board, will close caribou hunting at 11:59 pm on December 31, 2019 on Federal public lands to all hunters under Registration Permit RC503 in the following areas:Units 9A, 9B, that portion of Unit 9C draining into the Naknek River from the north, and Graveyard Creek and Coffee Creek, all drainages west of Right Hand Point in Unit 17A, 17B, 17C east of the east banks of the Wood River, Lake Aleknagik, Agulowak River, Lake Nerka, and the Agulupak River, 18, 19A, and 19B.

Mountain goat harvest closed in Whale Bay Zone on Baranof Island in Unit 4

SITKA, Alaska – The Sitka District Ranger, under authority delegated by the Federal Subsistence Board, is closing the Whale Bay Zone in Unit 4 to the harvest of mountain goats. The closure will be effective Monday, November 25, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. and will remain in effect through the rest of the 2019 season which ends December 31.

Wolf harvest season announced for GMU 2, new process explained

CRAIG, Alaska – Biologists with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G), in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service (USFS), announce that the state and federal hunting and trapping seasons for wolf in Game Management Unit (GMU) 2 will close at 11:59 pm on Jan. 15, 2020.

Federal subsistence moose hunting season to close in a portion of Unit 5A

YAKUTAT, Alaska - Yakutat District Ranger Lee Benson, under authority delegated by the Federal Subsistence Board, is closing the 2019 Federal subsistence moose season for that portion of Unit 5A west of the Dangerous River, except the Nunatak Bench, effective Oct. 22, 2019, at 11:59 p.m. The Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) will implement a closure for the State season.

**MEETING DELAY** Please note - due to weather conditions in Bethel, the Tuesday afternoon portion of this meeting (November 5) is cancelled; the meeting will now begin at 9:00 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 6thThe Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta Subsistence Regional Advisory Council will meet November 5-7, 2019 at the Yupiit Piciryarait Cultural Center in Bethel. The meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. on November 5, and at 9:00 a.m. on November 6 and 7.

2019 Yukon River Fall Salmon Fishery News Release #50 Reminder: Return 2019 Salmon Fishing Permits

Districts Affected: Upper Yukon AreaYukon Area subsistence and personal use salmon fishing permits expired on October 15 and are due back to the ADF&G office in Fairbanks by October 25 for the following permit areas:Yukon River: Rampart, Yukon River Bridge, Circle and EagleTanana River: Subdistrict 6-A (Manley), Subdistrict 6-B (Nenana) and Personal Use in Subdistrict 6-C (Fairbanks/North Pole).
