IBC provides a full range of personnel security and credentialing services, including: pre-employment processing, PIV credentialing, suitability and fitness adjudications, security adjudications, reinvestigations, security clearance processing, as well as special projects.
The Interior Business Center provides personnel security and credentialing services as a stand-alone service or as part of a complete human resources model:
Our pre-employment processing allows the applicant to commence work before the required background investigation is complete. Pre-employment checks normally include a review of the credit report, criminal background fingerprint check and completed security questionnaire.
By managing Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credentials in accord with governmentwide standards, IBC provides secure and reliable forms of identification, enhanced security, reduced identify fraud and personal privacy. PIV credentials use a number of unique identifiers to allow for multifactor authentication for computer networks, software applications and facilities.
We initiate, analyze and adjudicate background investigations necessary to make suitability and fitness determinations for employment based on the level of character and conduct determined necessary for an individual to perform work for the federal government.
Our security adjudications ensure only personnel whose personal and professional history affirmatively indicates loyalty to the United States, strength of character, trustworthiness, honesty, reliability, discretion, sound judgment, and freedom from conflicting allegiances and potential for coercion, as well as willingness and ability to abide by regulations governing the use, handling and protection of classified information are granted national security clearances.
IBC provides initiation, analysis and adjudication of reinvestigations in order to make suitability, fitness and security determinations for continued employment with, or in support of, the federal government.
We provide annual evaluation of security clearance holders for determinations as to whether to grant, deny, suspend or revoke national security clearances. We process special access requests to include Sensitive Compartmented Information Access. We also provide initial and recurring security awareness training.
IBC offers personnel security support and consultation services to assist federal agencies in any aspect of their personnel security program.
