National Invasive Species Council

Invasive species threaten U.S. national security, food security, natural resources, and prosperity. The National Invasive Species Council (NISC) is comprised of the heads of 12 Federal Departments and 4 White House Offices. Together, we serve the people of the United States by:

  • Making the Federal Government's response to invasive species more efficient.
  • Safeguarding interests of the United States by preventing, eradicating, and controlling invasive species.
  • Restoring ecosystems and other assets impacted by invasive species.
