The Spirit of Innovation: Thomas Edison National Historical Park
Tuesday, July 15, 2025, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm ET

About seventy years ago, the Thomas Edison National Historical Park was founded with the intention to commemorate Thomas Edison’s life and achievements. It is here in West Orange, NJ where Edison patented about half of his 1093 patents and lived for most of his life. Both Edison’s lab and home have seen numerous changes which reflect on the spirit of innovation Edison encouraged. Even after his death, this spirit was kept alive by his family and company, who further transformed the sites to now memorialize and tell the inventor’s story. Please join Park Ranger Christopher Chan as he explores the evolution of the laboratory and house, from the days of Thomas Edison through when it was a company museum and ending with its present-day National Park Service stewardship.

Please note: This program is only being offered as a simultaneous online webinar. Please contact the Library to obtain webinar information for this program.
