NHO:  ʻAoʻao o Nā Loko Iʻa o Maui
Project:  Kōʻieʻie Fishpond Visitor Engagement Program
Description:  Program will showcase the Hawaiian cultural practice of uhau humu pōhaku (dry-stack masonry) and educate visitors about the cultural and historical significance of Kō‘ie‘ie Fishpond.

NHO:  Hanalei River Heritage Foundation
Project:  I Mana Ka ‘Āina Visitor Engagement Program
Description:  Program will develop a bilingual (Hawaiian & English) traditional knowledge driven historical interpretive educational program for visitors and community, based on Native Hawaiians who farmed, fished, and were natural resource practitioners in Uhauʻiole ʻili and Wailua ʻAhupuaʻa in traditional times.

Project:  Hōʻihi no Waimea
Description:  Project will engage visitors in interactive cultural activities such as lei making, coconut weaving, lauhala weaving, wood work, hale building, kukui nut uses, ‘ukulele lessons, kapa making, rope making, and poi pounding.

NHO:  Moanalua Garden Foundation Inc.
Project:  46th Annual Prince Lot Hula Festival
Description:  The hula festival will bring 14 new and returning halau hula throughout Hawai‘i invited to perform at ‘Iolani Palace (or Kaʻakako Makai). The 2023 festival will combine live in-person hula performances, cultural demonstrations, food trucks, a craft fair, and a virtual two-hour television program.

NHO:  Native Hawaiian Hospitality Association
Project:  Festival Event Engagement Program for Visitors & Native Hawaiian Cultural Practitioners
Description:  To bring a new kind of event to Waikīkī, one in which Native Hawaiian Cultural Practitioners and their intellectual, spiritual and embodied indigenous knowledge is forefronted in a facilitated and respectful manner that allows visitors and locals to engage more deeply with indigenous meanings of the land and cultural traditions of malama ʻāina and kuleana.

Project:  Nānā I Ke Kumu: Look to the Source
Description:  To educate and engage tourists to Hawaiʻi on the history and cultural traditions, principles and values of the Native Hawaiian people and the natural and cultural resources vital to the perpetuation of these traditions.

NHO:  Waiʻanae Economic Development Council 
Project:  E Mau Ke Aʻo: Sustaining the Cultural Practitioner
Description:  This program will specifically focus on the creation of new businesses for cultural practitioners; new access to markets; adoption of new business models, including digital learning and in-person experiences; increased demand for workers; and increased marketing efforts, content creation, and training.
