Interior Provides $2 Million in Supplemental Disaster Recovery Funding to the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands

Assistant Secretary Doug Domenech today announced that Interior will provide $2,000,000 to the government of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) to streamline financial management and coordination of disaster recovery funding across local agencies and organizations receiving federal assistance as a result of impacts from Typhoon Yutu.

Interior Applauds the Census Bureau for Opening Offices in the U.S. Territories to Conduct the 2020 Census

DOI Assistant Secretary Doug Domenech congratulated the U.S. Census Bureau for recently opening  census offices in American Samoa, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), and the U.S. Virgin Islands (USVI) – St. Croix and St. Thomas. Census has been working closely with the governors of each territory in preparation for the upcoming 2020 Island Areas Censuses.
