Agency Financial Report FY21

The Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 Agency Financial Report provides important financial and performance information for the Department of the Interior (DOI). It is DOI's principal publication to Congress and the American people on the stewardship, management, and leadership of the public funds and resources entrusted to us.  For the 25th straight year, the consolidated financial statements in this report received a clean (unmodified) audit opinion.  The FY 2021 Independent Auditors' Report noted that DOI remediated the prior material weakness and identified four significant deficiencies regarding Controls over Financial Reporting, Controls over Construction in Progress, Controls over Journal Entries, and Entity-Level Controls. We are committed to continuous improvement of our financial management activities and resolving these issues in FY 2022.
