The Office of Law Enforcement and Security (OLES), Law Enforcement Division has five units/groups responsible for developing and disseminating contemporary law enforcement policies, oversight of Internal Affairs programs, training development and standards located at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, Southwest Border Coordination, and the liaison to Aviation Services and Wildland Fire in Boise, Idaho. The Division facilitates special law enforcement and security operations during critical incidents or national emergencies to include Essential Support Function (ESF-13) deployments and liaison on law enforcement matters with other major Departments and agencies. The Division maintains the Departmental Internal Affairs Case Tracking System and provides strategic coordination and recommendations for the application of the Serious Incident Review Group. The Division conducts reviews of bureau law enforcement programs to ensure compliance with Departmental standards and prepares written correspondence on law enforcement issues for senior officials.
