Administrative Judge

Clifford E. Stevens, Jr. was appointed an Administrative Judge with the Board in 2024. Before joining the Board, he worked 16 years with the U.S. Department of Justice, Environment and Natural Resources Division, Wildlife and Marine Resources Section. At the Department of Justice, he was litigation counsel in federal courts nationally in cases involving federal wildlife laws and other environmental and land use issues. Before government service, Administrative Judge Stevens was in private practice as a Partner at DLA Piper, where he practiced federal administrative and appellate court trade litigation. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame, summa cum laude, with a B.A. in history and from Columbia Law School, where he was a Stone Scholar.
