Interior Announces $739,500 in FY 2021 Funds for Prior Service Trust Fund Program

Interior Announces $1,737,051 in FY 2021 Funding for the Four Atoll Healthcare Program in the Marshall Islands

The fiscal year 2021 funding provided to the Four Atoll Healthcare Program will be used to support healthcare clinics on Majuro, Bikini, Enewetak, Rongelap and Utrok that provide healthcare to approximately 20,000 people. Services include primary and ancillary healthcare services such as eye care, dental care, cervical screenings, and diabetes prevention and wellness education.

Interior Awards $1,033,100 to Mitigate COVID-19 Among Pacific Islanders in Hawai’i

The Honolulu Civil Beat reported last November that Pacific Islanders in Hawai’i are more than twice as likely to die from or be hospitalized by the coronavirus than other racial and ethnic groups, after adjusting for age and gender, according to data from the Hawai’i State Health Department. The report indicated that Chuukese, Marshallese, and Samoans are among the most impacted.
