Interior Museum

Since 1938, the Interior Museum’s mission has been to inspire and educate Departmental employees and the public about the ongoing stewardship of the nation’s public lands, natural resources, and cultural heritage.

The museum is free and open to the public, Mondays through Fridays, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (closed Federal holidays). For any weather-related or governmental closures, the museum follows the Federal Government Operating Status for the Washington, DC area.
