Interior Announces $2.6 Million to Replace Palau Mobile Telecommunications Network and Bolster Health Monitoring

The U.S. Department of the Interior’s Office of Insular Affairs announced $2,684,500 in Technical Assistance Program grant funding to the Republic of Palau government. Funds will be used to replace the Palau National Communication Corporation’s core mobile network to meet internationally accepted digital trust standards and to help develop a public health monitoring and reporting system in the island nation.

Letter: Interior Awards $1,546,996 in TAP and MAP funds for the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) in fiscal year (FY) 2021

FY 2021 funds for the RMI will fund various projects to include the RMI 2020 census of population and housing; Rongelap Atoll solar energy power for homes project; Namo Atoll renewable energy project; Majuro Atoll project to improve safety in downtown; Repairs to the Utrok Clinic and Health Center; and the Likiep Atoll community dock repair project.
