Museum Moment: Highlighting Artist Charley Harper's "Horseless Carriage Adventures"

Catch a twenty-minute "Museum Moment" with Interior Museum chief curator Tracy Baetz during your lunch break. Many people are familiar with American artist Charley Harper's distinctive, colorful, and often whimsical depictions of wildlife, but early in his career, he produced illustrations for Ford Times magazine's travel articles called the "Horseless Carriage Adventures." Baetz will have on hand a special selection of Harper's early 1950s originals that feature our national parks!

Museum Moments are a new series of brief, informal presentations in which you can count on hearing, visiting, learning, or seeing something fascinating related to the Department of the Interior's history. It might be a special artifact, a tie-in with a historical event, a mini-tour, a new addition to the museum's collection, or even a behind-the-scenes peek at a current museum project.
