Art is a vital part of native identity serving as a powerful tool to express our stories, struggles and hopes. When harnessed properly, art holds the potential to change the world. At Sovereignty Collective, the focus is on Native activism movements such as Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) and the Indian Child welfare Act (ICWA), among others.

Tradewinds Native Treasures

I make handcrafted jewelry using many different beaded and wire wrapped techniques, to include the following stiches: peyote, brick, herringbone, 3 drop gourd, ladder, RAW, loom, tubular brick, tubular peyote, and tubular chenille. I also use herringbone and spiral wrap, Byzatine Chainmail, and many other wire wrapping techniques to make earrings, bracelets, rings, and necklaces.
