Urban Waters Federal Partnership

A multi-agency wide initiative to protect urban waterways

Launched by EPA in 2011, the Urban Waters Federal Partnership is a coalition of fifteen federal agencies working cooperatively at the nexus of natural resource restoration and economic development to help revitalize urban watersheds and underserved communities, transforming overlooked assets and driving urban revival. Since its launch, the UWFP has grown from 10 federal agencies to 15, from 7 pilot cities to 20, and has private and public sector support through the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation from four corporations and three federal agencies.
