114-27.207-1 -- Agency controls

The head of each bureau and office shall establish procedures and controls as necessary to identify those items carried in inventories which have a shelf life of 36 months or less. Procedures must be provided which will insure maximum utilization prior to deterioration, either by the holding office or through available or excess property utilization channels.
