Subject: Martin Luther King Jr. Day Observance

The Department of the Interior (DOI) joins the Nation in celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Day – January 19, 2015 – National Day of Service. This day is an opportunity to honor Dr. King and his legacy of service.

In observance of MLK Day, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is sponsoring a program on January 14, 2015, 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., in the South Interior Building Auditorium. The program highlights "The Story Behind the History of the March on Washington." The featured presentation is "The March," a PBS film narrated by Denzel Washington and provides a riveting, behind-the-scenes account of a now historic event that took place in 1963. Ms. Rachelle Horowitz, one of the original organizers of the March, is featured in the film and will attend the presentation as a special guest.

To register for the program, go to the DOI Learn link https://gm2.geolearning.com/geonext/doi. Search for Martin Luther King Jr. Day Observance. After the program, attendees must self-certify through DOI Learn to receive training credit.
