Subject: Hispanic Association for Colleges and Universities 25th Annual Conference

The Department is participating in the Hispanic Association for Colleges and Universities (HACU) 25th Annual Conference on October 29 – 31, 2011, at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio, San Antonio, Texas. More information about the HACU Conference can be found at www.hacu.net.

This year represents the fifth consecutive year that the Department has supported the HACU Annual Conference. All of the bureaus will be represented at the conference. The Department will conduct student track workshops, participate on the Federal Career Panel, and facilitate the Faculty Track on Partnerships. On November 1, the Department and HACU Leadership Group will meet to discuss and share Hispanic initiatives and best practices in outreach and student engagement.

The Department continues to strive towards increasing youth employment opportunities by participating in proactive targeted outreach to build new environments and engage a talented corps of students.
