Secretary of the Interior Dirk Kempthorne will host Secretary of Agriculture Ed Schafer and other leading government officials at a meeting of the National Invasive Species Council (NISC) on Aug. 1, 2008. Kempthorne convened the meeting so that members can adopt a 2008-2012 national plan to combat invasive species. The Secretary also will announce the incoming members of the Invasive Species Advisory Council.
