Deputy Interior Secretary Scarlett, Agriculture Under Secretary Rey, Assistant Administrator Grumbles to Attend "Listening Session" in Columbus, Ohio | |||||||||||
(WASHINGTON) – Deputy Secretary of the Interior Lynn Scarlett, Agriculture Under Secretary Mark Rey and EPA Assistant Administrator Ben Grumbles will attend a cooperative conservation “listening session” in Columbus, Ohio., on Monday, Aug. 21, 2006. The session will take place in the Agricultural Administration Building auditorium at Ohio State University at 4 p.m. A news media availability will be held with Scarlett, Rey and Grumbles from 3:30 to 3:50 p.m. The “listening session” is one in a series of public meetings across the country to solicit and exchange ideas on incentives, partnership programs, and regulations that can improve results and promote cooperative conservation and environmental partnerships. In addition to Interior and EPA, the Agriculture Department, the Commerce Department and the White House Council on Environmental Quality are sponsoring the sessions.
