Interior Secretary Kempthorne, EPA Administrator Johnson To Attend First "Listening Session" in Spokane

(WASHINGTON) -- Secretary of the Interior Dirk Kempthorne and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Stephen L. Johnson will attend a “listening session” in Spokane on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006. The location of the session has been changed from an earlier announcement. It will now be held at the Spokane Convention Center.

The session is the first in a series of public meetings across the country to solicit and exchange ideas on incentives, partnership programs, and regulations that can improve results and promote cooperative conservation and environmental partnerships. In addition to Interior and EPA, the Agriculture Department, the Commerce Department and the White House Council on Environmental Quality are sponsoring the sessions.
