Secretary Norton to Kick Off New Campaign to
Promote Tourism and America's National Parks

 

WASHINGTON - Secretary of the Interior Gale A. Norton will hold a media briefing on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004, to launch a new campaign to help promote visitor interest in the 388 units of the national park system. The See America's National Parks campaign is a unique public/private partnership with the travel industry. It's designed to raise awareness of the diversity of the national park system and encourage visitation to these historic and breathtaking sites.

Secretary Norton will also highlight President Bush's initiative to address maintenance backlog challenges in America's national parks.
