Memo (2024): Exception to the General Time Limits for Temporary Employment for Wildland Fire Positions

OPM has approved the Department’s request to raise the number of allowable hours worked by wildland fire temporary employees from 1040 hours to 1560 hours.  This memo provides guidance for this exception beyond the general time limitations for temporary work as described within 5 CFR 316.401(c).
