This Departmental Manual Release, 444 DM 2, National Critical Infrastructure and Key Resource Security, provides policy and guidance to all bureaus and offices with respect to safeguarding the Department’s National Critical Infrastructure and Key Resources from terrorist attack.  Issues addressed include: A. The need for a security risk assessment, physical security survey, and an asset security plan to be completed for each of the Department’s National Critical Infrastructure and Key Resource assets. B. The establishment of minimum security standards and practices to be implemented at each National Critical Infrastructure and Key Resource asset owned and/or controlled by the Department. C. The incorporation of National Critical Infrastructure and Key Resource security policy compliance evaluation activities into existing bureau/office program evaluation processes.
