The primary change made throughout the revised chapters pertains to the transfer of committee management responsibilities from the Assistant Secretary - Management to the Assistant Secretary - Program Development and Budget, as announced in the Deputy Under Secretary's Memorandum of February 26, 1975.  Other significant changes made are: (1) criteria for the filing of statements of employment and financial interests by Departmental employees who are appointed to various committees are added in 308 DM 4.5 and 308 DM 8.3C(1); (2) the procedures for appointments to advisory committees in 308 DM 8.4 are revised to require the use of a new Form DI-244.
