IBC Business Continuity Planning in Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic

Last edited 5/15/2020

As a Federal Shared Service Provider, IBC maintains a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) to ensure we are able to provide services to our customers during an emergency situation. IBC’s COOP includes planning for providing services during a pandemic event such as Coronavirus (COVID-19) or the flu. The Interior Business Center has reviewed and assessed its service areas that may be impacted due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19).

IBC partners with the Department of the Interior’s Office of Emergency Management to ensure we are aware of issues and federal guidance impacting IBC and our customers. We are carefully monitoring events and preparing our staff for contingencies. In addition to the health and safety of our staff, we are keenly focused on supporting our customer’s missions and we are positioned to continue to provide service if there are disruptions of operations due to a pandemic event. Any relevant impacts or updates will be posted on our website at www.doi.gov/ibc. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your customer service representative.

Our leadership team is also available to address any questions and concerns:

  • Keith O’Neill, Associate Director Acquisition Services Directorate
  • Wendell Bazemore, Associate Director Financial Management Directorate
  • Julie Bednar, Associate Director Human Resources Directorate
