DOI employees,

The DOI COVID-19 Information Portal remains an excellent source of information as we all adjust to working under changing circumstances. Here are some items that have recently been added to the portal:

  1. Updated DOI Management Risk Assessment & Decision Matrix for COVID-19: This tool was developed to help managers assess risk and determine appropriate actions to prevent and/or mitigate the spread of COVID-19 at their facilities. The Office of Safety and Health recently updated it to reflect the very latest CDC guidance.
  2. Decision Tool for Employees & Supervisors Regarding possible or confirmed COVID-19 cases in the workplace: This tool is for use by employees and the supervisors of employees who have a possible or confirmed case of COVID-19 as defined by CDC guidelines. It will help you answer key questions about what to do if an employee is ill, tests positive for COVID-19, or needs to telework for illness related reasons, and when an employee can return to work after being ill.
  3. Guidance for Coding Environmental Hazard Pay: This memo provides the appropriate time and attendance codes for and instruction on how to record Environmental Hazard hours worked in Quicktime. (Bureau of Reclamation employees should work directly with their timekeeper to record Environmental Hazard pay hours.)
  4. Employee Assistance Program: The Department's Employee Assistance Program provider, Espyr, has prepared a presentation and accompanying handout on managing your fear and anxiety about the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as a general information sheet about the services the EAP offers and how to access them any time. You will find these documents in the Human Resources section of the portal.

Please continue to explore and use the Information Portal – new guidance documents, tools and other items are being added daily. You will also find links to your bureau’s COVID-19 information portal, if there is one.
