This release establishes policy and assigns responsibilities for providing individuals with disabilities equivalent access to electronic office equipment, telecommunications systems, operating systems, and applications programs.  This policy implements recently established Federal Information Resources Management Regulations, Section 405 and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1986 (P.L. 99-506), and Section 509 (P.L. 102-569).
