145 DM 9 - Associate Director for Partnerships, Interpretation and Education, Volunteers, and Outdoor Recreation   This Departmental Manual release, 145 DM 1-10, documents changes to the structure of the Washington Office of the National Park Service.  It incorporates changes approved by the House and Senate Committees on Appropriations.  The changes to the Washington Office structure include:   1. Improving the overall effectiveness of the Service in carrying out its broad mission responsibilities;   2. Realigning the Comptroller to report directly to the Director;   3. Increasing oversight and guidance among the NPS partnership activities with the States and private organizations that have an interest in volunteers and outdoor recreation; and    4. Clearly distinguishing the roles and responsibilities and balancing the workload of the two Deputy Directors.   5. Meeting the requirements of Secretary's Order No. 3244.
