Secretary Jewell Rocks the Park on Adventure TV Series

As part of the National Park Service’s 2016 Centennial celebration, Interior Secretary Sally Jewell will join ABC’s Rock the Park series for an episode airing this weekend, which features a breathtaking hike in Mount Rainier National Park in Washington -- Secretary Jewell’s home state.

"As a child, some of my earliest memories were from hiking and camping at Mt. Rainier National Park. It's a great example, among many others, of the natural, cultural and historical wonders we share with the world in national park sites across the country,” Secretary Jewell said. “As we celebrate the centennial of the National Park Service, I encourage all Americans to introduce new generations to these treasures, so get up, get out there and find your park!"
