Interior Museum

Since 1938, the Interior Museum has inspired and educated the general public—as well as Departmental employees—about the ongoing stewardship of the nation’s public lands, natural resources, and cultural heritage.

Begin here to plan your visit! The museum is free and open to the public, Mondays through Fridays, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (closed Federal holidays). For any weather-related or governmental closures, the museum follows the Federal Government Operating Status for the DC area. Advance reservations are required for the hour-long, public tours of the Stewart Lee Udall Department of the Interior Building provided on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Stay connected by following the museum on Twitter and Facebook.
